Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, the world’s largest annual free-to-the-public outdoor sculpture exhibition celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, returning to the spectacular Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk from 20 October – 6 November.
The twentieth year will again see the stunning stretch of Sydney coastline transformed into the world’s largest free-to-the-public outdoor sculpture exhibition. More than 100 works by Australian and international artists will be showcased this year, including artist representation from Asia, Europe, Middle East, New Zealand, South America, UK and USA.
One of Sydney’s best attended and most photogenic events, Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi attracts more than 500,000 visitors over 18 days and heralds for many the beginning of summer in Sydney.
Aqualand has joined for the first time as Principal Sponsor of Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, and as part of the sponsorship, the $60,000 Aqualand Sculpture Award will be awarded to an exhibiting artist and their sculpture will be gifted for permanent public enjoyment in Sydney. During the exhibition visitors are also invited to join the Sculpture by the Sea Education Program, Aqualand Artist Talks, free Tactile Tours and the Sculpture Inside exhibition.
