Quirky Jumpers and Jazz awaits you!

Warwick Queensland will once again be brimming with jazz, art, quirky “woolly wearables” (especially warming up the winter trees), and amazing food and wine. From 16th to 26th July 2020.

The now iconic Jumpers and Jazz in July festival is a magnet for patrons seeking a unique travel experience and thousands are now making an annual ten-day pilgrimage to the picturesque Southern Downs region for this amazing event.

Situated near the Southern Border Ranges, visitors can expect delightful crispy nights and mornings, followed by warm sunny days. Don your most colourful coats, scarves and beanies to enjoy a festival extravaganza like no other!

“Crackers” is the Festival theme this year, and you can be assured of plenty to go crackers about! The theme was chosen to bring a special atmosphere of celebration and delight to locals and visitors alike, after such a difficult year of drought and fire throughout Australia.

Tour over one hundred trees dressed in their colourful, quirky yarn bombed attire. Especially crafted by organizations and individuals, both local and distant (some overseas), these works of art inspire something special for all ages.

Also, make a date with Warwick Art Gallery’s annual yarn bombed foyer extravaganza! The gallery “Yarn bomb Volunteers” spend months lovingly crocheting, knitting and weaving their magic to present a breath-taking scene of iconic Australian life. The Warwick Art Gallery will be in its vibrant glory with artworks, textiles, and of course – the inspired treasures waiting for the knitters and crochet addicts.

A tantalizing array of crafty workshops also await you across the region, throughout the whole ten days.

Chill out with top jazz performers superbly covering many jazz genres over the festival fortnight – from swing, to jumpin’ jazz, to resurrected rhythm and blues. You can catch these top talents for free at Festival Events in the CBD or the park close by. For cosy cabaret experiences or rousing dance floors, book your seats with the many cafes, restaurants and other private venues for nights of indoor entertainment to suit your taste. Music and dance are everywhere during this festival!
