Clearview Towing mirrors started in 2006 from a very frustrated Mike Cowan trying to see around his caravan when towing. Mike and his son-in-law Jay decided to make something happen as they were both towing large trailers all over Australia going to race car events.
Once they started towing with their new creation and realised the mirrors they built were amazing, people started to chase them down wanting to buy them.
Clearview was born, and over the last 13 years Clearview mirrors have become the tow mirror to have if you are serious about towing.
About 4 years ago the boys started to think about a new style of mirror, the Next Generation of Towing mirror, it started very slowly and built momentum over the last 2 years. Now the Next Gen, as they are calling it will be in stock late September for an October 1st dispatch date.
The Next Gen is a smaller mirror which sits on a double slide and slides right back into the vehicle when not towing just like an OEM mirror. When you hook your van up you simply slide the mirror head out an impressive 180mm, giving the ultimate vision you need to keep you safe when towing.
The Next Gen mirrors come in Black as standard, but Chrome caps are available if you need that added bling. There is also an undercoated cap for colour coding if you want to match the colour of your car. Some vehicles have powerfolding mirrors as standard, and the Next Gen mirror is suitable for those too, but manual folding is available also.
Some vehicles have all the goodies; Birds eye cameras, blind spot monitoring, heating and courtesy lights and a Cat 6 indicator as standard, all of these features can be added to the Next Gen mirrors.
So if you’re going to be hitting the road towing your new home behind you, then you should check out the Next Gen mirrors by Clearview.
