New Age Caravans – Proudly Australian Made

September 11, 2020 by On The Road Team Leave a Comment

Since its beginning in 2008, New Age Caravans has designed and manufactured all of our caravans in Australia. We currently employ over 180 staff that are spread across our two factories in Epping, Victoria. From our chassis, leather upholstery, Aluminium cladding, ABS body moulds, fiberglass shower moulds, mattresses, and safety equipment; New Age Caravans places a high importance on quality Australian Made parts and manufacturing that go into our caravans. New Age Caravans is proudly Australian Made, employing Australian workers and building our caravans with Australian parts.

New Age Caravans

In late 2018 Walkinshaw Automotive Group became the majority owner of New Age Caravans, ushering in a new chapter in the companies already rich history. Walkinshaw Automotive are known in Australia as the manufacturers of HSV (Holden Special Vehicles), with iconic cars like the Clubsport, GTS, Maloo and Senator becoming Australian classics that are now highly sought after by collectors. By extension, New Age Caravans history of being an Australian Made company now stretches back to 1987 thanks to this partnership.

“The Walkinshaw Group has long been a market leader in automotive innovation and technology, and having direct access to their capabilities in design, engineering and manufacturing gives New Age Caravans the ability to set a new standard in the RV industry” said Ivan Krizman, CEO New Age Caravans. “Our focus is on using the Walkinshaw philosophy to develop our own unique technology, styling and parts to reinvigorate not only the type of products in the market but the quality and safety of the products as well.”

There are now over three decades of Australian engineering & manufacturing knowledge that go into every New Age caravan. This new wealth of experience has allowed New Age Caravans to improve manufacturing, testing and designing processes to continually improve and innovate with their products.

“The many benefits of buying Australian Made have been brought into sharp focus recently, as Australians navigate and adapt to a dramatically changed way of living,” said Australian Made Chief Executive, Ben Lazzaro. “Not only do our local makers produce products made to some of the highest quality and safety standards in the world, they also create economic activity and employment opportunities.”

The famous Australian Made logo is the true mark of Aussie authenticity. It is Australia’s most trusted, recognised and widely used country of origin symbol, and is underpinned by a third-party accreditation system which ensures products that carry the logo are certified as ‘genuinely Australian’.

“New Age Caravans is an Australian manufacturing success story. A relatively young company, they have quickly become known for producing a range of high-quality Australian Made caravans. We are pleased to have them in the Australian Made family and look forward to seeing the Australian Made logo alongside the New Age Caravans brand on Australian roads for many years to come.” Said Mr. Lazzaro.

NEW AGE CARAVANS

New Age Caravans manufactures a complete range of recreational vehicles for the Australian and New Zealand market. New Age Caravans recreational vehicles covers everything from camper trailers, pop top & family bunk vans through to top end luxury ranges. The New Age Caravans range of recreational vehicles are ably supported by a dedicated network of 15 Dealerships and service outlets strategically located across Australia and New Zealand, offering aftersales service and support.

In late 2018, New Age Caravans was purchased by Walkinshaw Automotive Group. Since its acquisition by Walkinshaw, New Age Caravans has quickly integrated their unprecedented automotive expertise in engineering, design and manufacturing to introduce a new level of innovation to the RV industry. New Age Caravans manufacturing base is in Epping Victoria, which is located in the prime hub of caravan manufacturing in Australia and employs over 180 staff.
